     Logging In

Most installations of Forum require you to provide a username and password before doing meaningful work with the product.

To log in, do the following:

  1. Make sure you have a registered username and password.

  2. View the summit page.

  3. In the "Login name" box located on the right side of the page, enter your login name, and press the Return key (if you are using an Internet Explorer browser) or press the Tab key (if you are using Netscape). Be sure to specify any required uppercase letters.

  4. In the "Password" box, enter your password, and press the Return key (Internet Explorer) or click on the Login button (Netscape). Be sure to specify any required uppercase letters.

Forum then displays the summit page, which welcomes you by the name you provided when you registered.

If your organization uses NT domains and Internet Explorer browsers, your administrators may have set up Forum so that your login process is slightly different. Also, if your administrators radically customized Forum, you may have a login process that is unique to your organization.
