       Attaching a File
       Attaching a File to an Existing Entry

To attach a file to an existing entry, do the following:

  1. View the summit page.

  2. Log in, if you have not already.

  3. Click on the linked title of the forum in the "Discussion and Document Forums" section of the summit that you want to contain your entry.

  4. Click on the linked title of the entry to which you want to attach a file.

    Forum displays the entry.

  5. In the upper-left corner of the page, click on the Modify button, as follows:

  6. In the displayed menu, click on the Add Attachments menu item.

    Forum displays the "Add attachments to entry..." form. You can attach either files or a URL (which is a pointer to a web page on your company's Intranet or on the Internet).

  7. To add a document, click on one of the Browse buttons.

    Your system displays the standard window used for choosing files. Choose one file. Forum places the path to your file in the text box next to the Browse button you used. You can use the other browse buttons to add up to 5 files.

  8. To add a URL, type the address in the text box after the URL label.

    The following is an example of a valid URL:

    http://www.sitescape.com/

  9. If you want to attach more files or URLs, click on the "Prompt for additional attachments" checkbox.

  10. Click on the OK button at the bottom of the form.

    If you checked the "Prompt for additional attachments" checkbox, then Forum displays the "Add attachments to entry..." form again, and you can add more attachments. If you did not check that box, then Forum displays the entry and its new attachments.
